Irregular beard growth due to predisposition or scars is disturbing. But the treatment differs considerably from that on the head because the whiskers have a different characteristic than head hairs. However, the transplanted hairs are also permanent.
The hairs are extracted according to the Moser Method from the donor area on the back of the head if they are strong enough to be employed as whiskers. Hairs which are too thin are unsuitable as replacement for whiskers.
Follicular units extracted during the treatment are subdivided into individual hairs, freed from excess tissue and stored in the nutrient solution. The apertures in the beard region are very superficial and fine. During the transplantation it is essential to take into account the natural direction of hair growth in order to be able to establish a natural appearance.
